We are Sri Venkateswara Printing Press, a family‑run printing house located in the heart of Tiruvannamalai. What a typical day looks like
- Start the shift by checking the copier and scanner for any jam or low‑ink alerts.
- Load fresh sheets of paper into the main copy machine and set the correct paper size for the job at hand.
- Run a test print to ensure colour and alignment are correct before the bulk run.
- Sort finished copies into folders, label them with the client’s name and keep a log in the copy room notebook.
- Help the junior staff with basic file handling and keep the copy room tidy – a clean space means fewer mistakes.
Tools & Equipment
- High‑speed copier (Canon imageRUNNER) – you’ll learn to troubleshoot paper jams and replace toner cartridges.
- Flatbed scanner for digitising documents – basic image editing with Adobe Acrobat.
- Staplers, hole‑punchers, file cabinets and a small inventory system on a laptop.
- Safety gear – gloves and safety glasses when handling heavy paper loads.

Starting as a Copy Room Attendant, you can move up to Senior Copy Room Attendant after 6 months of consistent performance. From there, you could become a Shift Supervisor or even a Junior Operations Manager if you show leadership and a knack for process improvement. We provide on‑the‑job training and occasional workshops on new printing technologies.
