We have been serving Bhattian and its surrounding villages for more than 30 years and are looking for a new Stockroom Assistant to help us keep our warehouse running smoothly.
What It Looks Like on a Typical Day
Morning begins with a quick 5‑minute huddle—everyone shares the key tasks for the day. The warehouse is a bright, open space with high wooden shelves, a hand‑pallet system, and a small loading dock. Your routine will involve:
- Receiving daily deliveries and verifying quantity against the purchase order list.
- Labeling items with QR‑codes and updating the inventory software (we use a simple cloud‑based Excel sheet). Example: When a truck arrives, you’ll scan each pallet, note any discrepancies, and place a reminder tag on the shelf if there’s an issue.
- Sorting stock by category (vegetables, pulses, grains), ensuring perishable goods receive priority.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the storage area: sweeping, checking for pests, and making sure fire safety equipment is working.
- Assisting customers in the front office (searching for items, printing invoices) during their visits.

Work Environment
Our warehouse is air‑conditioned but has good natural light thanks to the large sidings. The loading dock is a bit narrow, so you’ll need to be comfortable moving around. Outside the warehouse, we operate a small shop front that sees a lot of foot traffic from local farmers and families. You’ll get to experience a blend of warehouse logistics and light customer service.
We provide a warm, supportive atmosphere where milk‑shot cans of tea are always on hand. The role works Monday to Saturday, with 8 hours a day. We pay a competitive monthly salary and offer a small bonus if the week’s inventory checks come back error‑free. Rest days are Sundays and a public holiday chosen by the company each year.
