What a Day Looks Like at TechConnect
Every morning starts with a quick coffee, a short stand‑up where we chat about tickets from yesterday, then we head straight into the office – a simple two‑story building on Main Road with a bright reception area. From 9 am to 7 pm, you’ll walk around the office, check in with a client, walk through their office and set up a new laptop, resolve a printer issue, or guide someone on how to use Outlook. Even on weekends, we get a few calls for urgent fixes – that’s when we really get to show our problem‑solving skills.

Your Daily Responsibilities (With Real Examples)
• Resolve user tickets – e.g., Jane from “Sopore Pharmacy” gets stuck on a VPN, and you walk her through the steps on her laptop.
• Patch and update systems – ensure all company PCs run the latest Windows updates, checking versions with a simple inventory spreadsheet.
• Install and configure software – set up a new POS system for a local store, ensuring it connects to the existing network and backup plan.
• Troubleshoot network issues – when the broadband drops, you isolate the router, reset settings and document the root cause.
• Customer support – answer calls in local dialect, explain solutions in simple language, and follow up within 48 h.
Tools & Environment
You’ll work with Dell laptops, Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365 and our ticketing system ‘HelpDesk Lite’. For network troubleshooting we use Wi‑Fi routers from TP‑Link, and a basic set of cables, adaptors and a small toolkit. The workstation is a standard office chair and desktop, and you’ll also be sent on short field visits to client sites across Sopore.
