We’re looking for a friendly and hardworking Warehouse Associate to join our family‑run logistics hub in Shillong, Meghalaya. If you love organizing, are comfortable with moderate physical work, and prefer a supportive team over a corporate buzz, this role is for you.
About Our Workday
Every weekday starts with a quick stand‑up at 9:00 AM, where we map out the day’s deliveries and share any road or weather updates. I get my doughnut from the local bakery, and then I break into the warehouse – a spacious 4,000 sq. ft. facility with a friendly look-out over the lush green hills. From sweeping pallets to filling inventory sheets on a simple Excel sheet, most of my time is spent moving goods, checking barcodes and keeping the space tidy.

Start as a Warehouse Associate and you can climb to a shift lead in 6–12 months, or mix into the transportation planning team. We provide on‑the‑job training across all our tools – from a handheld scanner to the company’s simple inventory database built in Airtable. When you master the basics, we’ll consider you for a supervisory role with a higher pay scale and a share of the company’s profit‑sharing scheme.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
- Receiving & Staging: Unload 15–30 pallets per shift, scan each item with the handheld scanner and organize them by category.
- Inventory Management: Update the inventory spreadsheet, notify the supervisor of any discrepancies, and prepare pick lists for the delivery trucks.
- Safety Checks: Inspect forklifts before start, keep the aisles clear, and ensure all spillages are cleaned up.
- Documentation: Fill out daily shipping logs, sign off on return goods, and maintain the paperwork folder for each shipment.
Tools & Equipment
Handheld barcode scanner, basic mobile phone for the inventory app, the company’s T‑Shirts and safety shoes. For inventory we use a simple but reliable spreadsheet on laptops.
Work Environment
Our warehouse sits above the old food market and has a panoramic view of the hills. The space is air‑conditioned and well‑lit. The office is in a modern building across the street, but most of the action is on the floor. We have a small break area with a kettle, a fridge, and a TV for the radio news. No formal office, just a place everyone can call home.
