What You’ll Do
- Plan and execute daily distribution routes to about 15-20 retail outlets.
- Check inventory levels at our local depot, load the van, and keep track of delivery schedules.
- Negotiate price points with shop owners, ensuring our margin targets are met.
- Maintain accurate logbooks using our simple Excel template and update the in‑house inventory management system.
- Assist customers with any queries about delivery timings or product details – a call or a quick on‑site visit.
For example, a typical day may begin at 6:30 am with fuel checks, move on to a quick haul of fresh fruits, then a call to a tea shop owner to confirm their upcoming order. Your role is the bridge between our store and the customers, so being friendly, punctual and detail‑oriented is key.
Tools & Equipment
We provide a 1.5‑litre diesel van, a basic GPS, a mobile phone (company‑issued), and a sturdy delivery belt. Your only other tool is a small lunchbox for quick bites while on the road.
