Process Excellence Executive Job in Mangan, Sikkim, India

GreenLeaf Agro Industries Pvt. Ltd.

About Us

At GreenLeaf Agro Industries, we grow more than just crops – we grow dreams. Our team of 45 passionate people works every day in our eco‑friendly compound in Mangan, turning fresh produce into ready‑to‑eat delights for the local market. The office is located on a 1.5‑acre plot beside a green hill, with a small CNC workshop, a chilled‑storage unit and a soft‑coated meeting space that feels like a garden. Every morning we start with a quick walk around the fields, grab a cup of steaming Chyulu tea and discuss the previous day's yield with the field coordinators. It’s simple, collaborative, and always a bit sunny – even when the weather is misty over the Himalayas.

Team Culture

We value transparency, curiosity, and a pinch of humor. Weekly “brown bag” meetings allow anyone to propose a process tweak – even a clerk who works the till line can share a suggestion. We celebrate milestones with pot‑luck lunches that feature the week’s best harvest. Growth is a shared journey: you’ll start with shadowing the plant manager and soon lead a small Kaizen squad to identify waste in packaging. Our senior folks mentor you, while you contribute new ideas that may influence the entire supply chain.

Growth Opportunities

Process Excellence is a stepping‑stone to operations leadership. Over time you can move from a local excellence coordinator to a regional manager overseeing several agro‑processing plants across Sikkim. We offer on‑the‑job training in Six Sigma, lean tools and the latest Minitab software. Bonus: every year, you may be selected for a short week‑long program at the National Institute of Agro‑Technology in New Delhi.

Your Responsibilities

  • Map and audit daily production workflows to identify bottlenecks – for example, monitoring the 2‑hour delay in fruit sorting that directly affects shelf life.
  • Run data‑driven root‑cause analyses using Minitab and Excel; present findings to engineers and sales with clear action plans.
  • Develop and maintain a dashboard in PowerBI that tracks key performance indicators like waste %, yield per hectare and energy consumption.
  • Coordinate Kaizen events with cross‑functional teams: from the packing crew to the logistics supervisor, ensuring every voice is heard.
  • Document best practices, update SOPs and train new hires during their onboarding.
  • Champion safety and compliance, making sure all processes meet the Sikkim state Food & Agriculture standards.

Tools & Equipment

During your day-to-day work you’ll use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Minitab, PowerBI, a simple 3‑inch handheld laser level for field measurements and our in‑house ERP system (in Hindi and English). You’ll also spend time in the CNC workshop learning to calibrate the small 3‑axis cutter used for seed packaging prototypes.

Work Environment

The job is based in our main office – a half‑open space surrounded by tea plantations. The office kitchen is always stocked with fresh bananas and roast beans. Though most work is desk‑bound, you will regularly visit the orchards for field sampling and stakeholder interviews. The climate is mild with cool mornings; you’ll need a light jacket for the evening wind.

Why Join Us?

We’re a small firm in a big dream. You’ll see the direct impact of your improvement projects on the local economy. Your ideas will turn into policies that touch thousands of families. Plus, we enjoy rotating seasonal festivals, where you can dance the Bhutia “Bunggal” with your teammates under lantern lights.
