We are Pelling Express Logistics Pvt. Ltd., a growing delivery startup serving the beautiful town of Pelling and its surrounding districts. We’re looking for a Same Day Delivery Driver to join our spirited team. If you love riding through the winding Himalayan roads and delivering smiles to locals, this is for you.
Day‑to‑day, you’ll pick up parcels from our tiny depot at 09:00 am, load them onto a sturdy bike or motorbike, and start an efficient round. Our route includes the main market, tea gardens, and remote villages, so you’ll become familiar with the scenic shortcuts and the local traffic rules. Punctuality is key, but we also value safety and timely communication with our dispatch centre.
Team culture at Pelling Express is all about camaraderie. We meet for a quick coffee before work, share lunch, and cheer for each other’s milestones. We celebrate the Himalayan New Year with a small party and talk about who delivered the most packages that month. You’ll feel like part of a family, not a corporate machine.
Growth opportunities abound. You start as a driver, but with consistent performance you may move into a senior driver role, a schedule‑planner position, or even a small fleet‑management job. We like to up‑skill our crew on app usage, safety protocols, and customer service – free training is given.
Responsibility breakdown: In the morning, you pick up about 30 parcels, deliver them in the shortest route, and record the drop‑off using the delivery app. You’ll also greet customers, answer simple queries, and handle small cash exchanges. In the afternoon, you sort the returned items, do a quick check of your bike, and report any maintenance needs to our shop manager.
Tools and equipment: You’ll use a reliable 125cc bike or a scooter (our fleet is well‑maintained). Our logistics app runs on Android; it shows GPS data and the list of deliveries. For safety, you get a helmet, reflective vest, and a basic first‑aid kit. We also provide a small bag for your personal items and a phone charger.
Environment: The work starts from our small warehouse on Pelling Main Road, just a stone’s throw from the tea garden. The office is open space with a few desks where you can fill out reports, but most of your time is spent on the road. The town’s vibe is quiet and friendly, yet the roads can be steep – something we love!
