What Our Day Looks Like
Our shop opens at 10 am and stays buzzing till 8 pm on weekdays, with a light evening shift till 10 pm on Saturdays. You’ll greet customers with a smile, help them pick out fabrics, answer style questions, and process sales and returns. Every day is a mix of fast‑paced customer interactions and calm inventory checks, so you’ll never be bored.

Growth Opportunities
The first few months you’ll handle cash, coupons and small queries. Once you feel comfortable, you will be invited to manage small batches of new arrivals, assist in visual merchandising displays, and learn the ERP system we use to keep track of stock. After 6 to 12 months you might be ready to mentor new hires or oversee the Saturday shift.
Key Responsibilities with Real Examples
- Greet at least 20 customers each shift and keep the line moving by offering quick assistance instead of waiting for a colleague to free up.
- Process up to 15 sales a day, ensuring each receipt is accurate and each return follows our policy.
- Maintain the sales counter area tidy: arrange fabric swatches, keep price tags clear and ensure every product is neatly displayed.
- Use the POS terminal (which looks like a small computer) to scan items, apply discounts and print receipts. Experience with basic software is helpful but not required.
- When a customer asks about a special order, coordinate with the stockroom to reserve the item and flag it for pickup in 2 days.
Tools & Equipment
We provide:
- POS terminal with credit card reader
- Barcode scanner
- Mobile phone for internal communication
You won’t need any specialized equipment for this job – just a few basics and a positive attitude.
Environment
Our shop is a bustling, well‑lit space in the heart of Panipat’s New Market. The shop is about 1,200 square feet, has a small break room for staff, and a dedicated stockroom that is just across the front door. The working conditions are typical for a retail counter – hot in the summer and cool in the winter, with good air conditioning during the monsoon.
