Pala Brew Café
We are Pala Brew Café, a cozy coffee shop located in the heart of Pala, Kottayam. We serve fresh brewed coffee, light snacks and a warm ambience for students, office workers and families.
Every day we open at 7:00 am and start the day with a quick team huddle. We talk about the specials, check the inventory and make sure the espresso machine is ready. The shop is small but lively – a few tables, a counter, a small kitchen area and a little outdoor seating.
Team culture is simple. We treat each other like family. Everyone helps the other, shares a laugh and keeps the shop clean. We have a weekly “coffee tasting” where we try new beans and share notes. It keeps the work fun and the customers happy.
Growth opportunities are real. We run a short barista training program for beginners. After a few months you can become a senior barista, learn latte art, manage the inventory and even help with the shop’s social media. We also support you to attend a local coffee workshop if you want to learn more about roasting.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing espresso, cappuccino, latte and other drinks with precision.
- Grinding beans, tamping, pulling shots and steaming milk.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the counter, grinder, espresso machine and the rest of the shop.
- Handling cash, credit card payments and keeping the till balanced.
- Stocking supplies, checking expiry dates and notifying the manager when items run low.
- Welcoming customers, taking orders, answering questions about the menu and suggesting drinks.
We use a commercial espresso machine (La Marzocco Linea Mini), a burr grinder (Mazzer Mini), a milk frother and a POS system. The shop is a small open‑plan space with a wooden counter, a few chairs and a wall of local art. It’s a place where you can hear the hiss of the espresso machine and the chatter of people.
We look for someone who is friendly, quick to learn and loves coffee. No prior experience is required – we will train you. A high school diploma is enough. You should be comfortable standing for long periods, handling money and working in a fast‑paced environment.
We offer a competitive monthly salary of ₹12,000 to ₹18,000, depending on experience. In addition, you will get a 10 % commission on drinks you prepare and a small bonus for excellent customer service.
