What a Normal Day Looks Like
Every morning, our distribution team starts at 6:30 AM by checking the inventory list on the company’s simple mobile app. We have a small workshop in the village where the packaging is done, followed by a quick meeting at 8 AM with the route planner to confirm the day’s route and the list of customers. On a typical day, the route covers 10–12 delivery points, many of which are in hilly lanes that require a reliable all‑terrain vehicle. The team's communication is mostly on WhatsApp, and we rely on a basic GPS app to navigate the winding roads.

Key Responsibilities
- Route Management: Plan daily delivery routes using the in‑house route planner. Adjust for traffic, weather or last‑minute orders.
- Customer Interaction: Greet customers with a friendly smile, collect signatures, and resolve minor disputes on the spot.
- Stock Handling: Safely load and unload goods, ensuring temperature‑sensitive items are kept in insulated bags.
- Record Keeping: Update the handheld tablet with delivery status, customer feedback, and any anomalies.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily check‑ups (oil, tires, brakes) and report any needed repairs to the depot.
Tools & Equipment
• 1 all‑terrain Mahindra Scorpio
• Tablet with the company’s custom tracking app
• Simple GPS device (if tablet battery dies)
• Insulated boxes for perishable items
Work Environment
The job is field‑heavy with minimal office time. Your major environment will be on the road, in small storage spaces on the outskirts of Pahalgam, and occasionally at the local market where we collect fresh produce.
