What a Typical Day Looks Like
Every morning you start by checking the bus – a quick walk around the engine, a look at the fuel gauge, and a test of the brakes. Once the bus is ready, you greet the first passengers with a friendly "Good morning!" and help them find a seat. You keep the schedule tight, but also make sure everyone gets on and off safely. At the end of the day you clean the interior, refill the water bottles, and fill out a short logbook that tells us how the route went.

Responsibilities (Real Examples)
- Start the bus at 6:00 am, perform a safety check, and ensure the bus is ready for the first route.
- Greet passengers, verify tickets, and help those with mobility issues.
- Maintain a strict timetable – for example, arriving at the school stop by 7:15 am and at the market by 8:30 am.
- Use the onboard GPS to avoid traffic jams and keep the route efficient.
- Keep the bus clean – wipe down seats, empty trash, and refill water bottles.
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents to the depot manager immediately.
Tools & Equipment
We provide a modern diesel bus equipped with GPS, a digital ticketing system, a first‑aid kit, and a mobile phone for communication with the depot. You will also receive a driver’s handbook and safety training every year.
Work Environment
You will spend most of your time on the road, but you will also work at our depot in the mornings and evenings. The depot is a small, well‑maintained building with a lounge area where drivers can relax between shifts.
