What a Typical Day Looks Like
On a busy holiday, you’ll greet guests as they arrive, guide them to their rooms, and help with luggage. During the day you’ll assist with light housekeeping, set up tables for breakfast, and run errands like picking up fresh produce from the local market. Evenings are quieter – you might help the chef with prep or simply keep the lobby tidy. Responsibilities (Real Examples)
- Greet 20–30 guests daily, check them in, and explain hotel amenities.
- Assist with luggage, ensuring it reaches the correct room without delay.
- Set up breakfast tables: arrange plates, cutlery, and fresh fruit within 15 minutes of opening.
- Run errands: buy fresh milk, tea leaves, and local snacks from the market.
- Maintain cleanliness of lobby and common areas, using a mop, broom, and cleaning spray.
- Help the chef with simple prep tasks like washing vegetables or chopping onions.
Tools & Equipment
We provide a basic toolkit: a mop, broom, cleaning spray, and a small set of kitchen knives. For guest services, you’ll use a simple POS terminal and a mobile phone for booking confirmations. All equipment is well maintained and replaced when needed.
Work Environment
The job is based in our 30‑room boutique hotel located on the main road of Melli. The building is a two‑storey wooden structure with a small garden. The atmosphere is warm, with natural light and a view of the surrounding hills. You’ll work in a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces – from the lobby to the kitchen and the garden terrace.
