We are looking for a dedicated Hospital Porter to join our team in Mamit.

Ltd. we provide quality healthcare to the people of Mamit and surrounding villages. We need a friendly, reliable assistant for our busy wards. You will be the first person patients see when they are admitted or the last person they see before they are discharged. Your role is essential – you’ll keep everything moving smoothly.
What a typical day looks like
Morning starts at 7:30 AM; you check the daily shift sheet, grab the hand‑trolley and head to Ward 3. You’ll bring supplies, move patients’ blankets, carry X‑ray films or simple lab samples to the lab. After noon, you may be asked to help with the cleaning crew – we use an eco‑friendly disinfectant, so no sweat is wasted. Evenings you support the registration desk, answering basic questions.
Team & Culture
In our hospital, you’ll work alongside nurses, doctors, a cleaning crew and a small administrative group. We have casual Friday’s where everyone comes in light clothing and shares a cup of tea. Our senior nurses often give quick tips, which helps you learn fast. The environment is warm, supportive and a little busy – but that’s what keeps us motivated.
Growth & Opportunities
We believe in promoting from within. You can start as a porter, then progress to Senior Porter or even a Ward Coordinator after a couple of years. We arrange short training sessions – first aid, basic patient communication and use of the hospital’s E‑health record system. If you want to go deeper, we can sponsor a certificate in allied health support.
Responsibilities
- Transport medical supplies, linens and patient documents between wards and laboratory.
- Assist patients in moving from waiting area to their bedside – especially elderly and those with mobility issues.
- Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms, using the cleaning kits we provide.
- Help doctors in simple tasks such as handing out test kits or retrieving needed instruments.
- Ensure hand hygiene by dispensing sanitizer; you will remember to clean your hands before and after each patient touch.
- Record and report any equipment faults or safety issues to the maintenance team.
Tools & Equipment
You’ll be given a hospital hand‑trolley, a small medical kit, cleaning wipes, a reusable mask and a small set of basic tools for quick equipment checks. The hospital’s IT system is simple – you’ll use a tablet that shows you what ward a patient belongs to and where the supplies are stocked.
