Day‑to‑Day Work Life
As a Mall Security Guard, you will begin your shift at the main entrance, conducting a quick walkthrough of the premises. Your tasks include monitoring CCTV cameras, dispensing emergency first aid, and escorting guests to their destinations if they need help. During busy hours you’ll check that all temperature screens are working and that the emergency doors remain clear. Even during midday slow‑downs you have the chance to engage with store managers to address any customer concerns.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform a daily patrol of 5 floors and surrounding parking lots.
- Operate CCTV and alarm systems – note any irregularities.
- Assist shoppers with lost & found, direction, and emergency evacuation.
- Administer basic first aid for minor injuries.
- Collaborate with store security teams during promotional events.
- Document incidents in logbooks and produce end‑of‑shift reports.
Tools & Equipment
We provide a modern toolkit: a digital hand‑held scanner, portable radio, a multi‑meter for electricity checks, and a first‑aid kit. Your uniform is fully supplied – a bright blue shirt, black pants, and a reflective vest for night shifts. You will also receive a 2‑way radio for quick communication with co‑guards and management.
Work Environment
The job is primarily indoor, but you will spend half your shift on the exterior parking and delivery drop‑off points. The mall’s climate control keeps indoor air cool, though the parking lot can become hot in the afternoon. We use fresh, locally sourced snacks after shifts for a quick refresh – people swear on me you can’t start the next shift without it!
