We are Mountain Logistics Pvt. Ltd., a growing logistics company that serves the beautiful valleys of Himachal Pradesh. We are looking for a friendly and motivated Logistics Executive to join our team in Kullu.
Day‑to‑day, you will be the glue that keeps our supply chain running smoothly. You will start your morning by checking the overnight deliveries, updating the tracking system, and making sure the trucks are ready for the day. During the day you will coordinate with local suppliers, plan routes, and resolve any delays that pop up. In the evenings you will review the day’s performance, update reports, and plan for tomorrow.
Our team is small but tight‑knit. We work in a relaxed office that feels more like a family kitchen than a corporate boardroom. You will start with basic route planning and gradually take on more complex tasks such as inventory forecasting, vendor negotiations, and even leading a small team of drivers. Responsibilities (with real examples):
- Track and update the GPS system for 10–12 trucks daily.
- Coordinate with the local supplier in Manali to ensure timely delivery of fresh produce.
- Resolve a last‑minute delay by re‑routing a truck to avoid a road closure.
- Prepare a weekly report on fuel consumption and suggest cost‑saving measures.
- Assist in the onboarding of new drivers, including safety briefings and paperwork.
Tools & equipment you will use:
- Mobile GPS tracking app (e.g., FleetTrack).
- Microsoft Office Suite for reports and spreadsheets.
- Basic handheld scanner for inventory checks.
- Standard office phone and a small office computer.
Environment: You will work in a small office located on Main Street, but you will also spend a lot of time on the road. The office is open 9 am to 6 pm, but you may need to make occasional early or late calls to resolve urgent issues. The weather can be unpredictable, so we provide a small allowance for extra travel costs.
