We are Himalayan Express Logistics Pvt Ltd, a growing delivery network serving the beautiful valleys of Himachal Pradesh. We are looking for a Last Mile Delivery Driver to join our team in Kullu. What a typical day looks like
- Start the day with a quick briefing at our small office in Kullu. We go over the delivery list, check the weather, and make sure everyone has the right gear.
- Load your bike or scooter with parcels, keeping heavier items at the back and fragile ones in the insulated bag.
- Use our delivery app on your smartphone to get real‑time directions and updates from customers.
- Deliver packages to homes, shops, and small businesses across the town and nearby villages.
- After each delivery, you’ll scan the QR code on the parcel to confirm hand‑off and update the system.
- End the day by returning to the office, unloading, and filing a quick log of your route.
Team culture
We are a close‑knit group of 15 people. Everyone knows each other’s names, and we celebrate birthdays and festivals together. We have a weekly “tea time” where we share stories and plan the next week’s routes. The manager is always open to suggestions – if you think a shortcut could save time, speak up!
Growth opportunities
We believe in promoting from within. After 6 months of good performance, you can become a Senior Driver, then a Route Supervisor, and eventually a Team Lead. We also offer short courses on customer service and basic vehicle maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Deliver parcels on time, ensuring they arrive in good condition.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report any issues.
- Handle cash or digital payments securely.
- Keep your vehicle clean and perform basic checks before each shift.
- Assist new drivers with training and orientation.
Tools & equipment
- Smartphone with our delivery app.
- GPS navigation and real‑time traffic updates.
- Insulated bag for perishable items.
- Helmet, gloves, and reflective vest for safety.
- Basic toolkit for minor repairs.
Work environment
You will spend most of your time on the road, navigating the scenic but sometimes challenging mountain roads of Kullu. The office is a small, cozy space with a kitchen where we share tea and snacks. The work is physically demanding but rewarding – you’ll see the smiles of satisfied customers and the beauty of the valley every day.
