We are ABC Repair Solutions, a family‑run business that has been fixing everything from mobile phones to small household appliances for over 15 years in Kottayam. We are looking for a Repair Assistant to join our team and help keep our customers smiling.
Day‑to‑day, you will be working in our small but well‑organized workshop located in the heart of the town. The shop is open from 9 am to 6 pm, Monday to Saturday. You will start by greeting customers, taking a quick note of the issue, and then moving on to the repair station. We use a mix of hand tools, a basic diagnostic kit, and a few power tools like a drill and a soldering iron. If you are new to these tools, we will give you a short training session before you start working on real orders.
Team culture at ABC is simple and friendly. Everyone knows each other’s names, and we often share a cup of tea in the break room. We value honesty, punctuality, and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing common faults in phones, laptops, and small appliances.
- Replacing broken parts such as screens, batteries, or switches.
- Testing repaired units to ensure they work before handing them back to customers.
- Keeping the workshop clean and organized.
- Updating the repair log and notifying customers about the status of their device.
For example, if a customer brings in a broken phone, you will first check the battery, then look for any visible damage on the screen, and finally run a quick software test. If the phone needs a new screen, you will order the part from our supplier, replace it, and test the touch functionality. All of this is done while keeping the customer informed about the progress.
We provide a safe working environment with proper ventilation, a first‑aid kit, and a small break area. The shop is located on Main Road, so you will have easy access to public transport and local eateries.
