Day‑to‑Day Life at Kavaratti Store
- Morning Setup: Start by checking the stock list, arranging fresh produce on the counters and setting up promotional displays before the morning crowd arrives.
- Customer Interaction: Greet shoppers, explain products like fresh seafood, spices and local handicrafts, and offer help finding what they need.
- Cash & POS: Use our basic POS machine to process sales, handle returns and provide receipts in person or through our mobile app.
- Inventory Checks: At lunchtime, do quick inventory checks on perishable items, place order forms for next delivery and keep the back‑room tidy.
- Evening Wrap‑Up: Close the till, count cash, restock the shelves and lock the shop for the night.

- Use the handheld barcode scanner to record a restock order when the tomato stall is low.
- Record daily sales in the Excel sheet, noting any special promotions or discount bundles sold.
- Help train new hires in the basics of POS operation and customer greetings.
