What a typical day looks like:
- Arrive at 7:30 am, check the parking lot map and the CCTV feed.
- Greet visitors, hand out parking tickets, and explain the parking rules.
- Use the handheld scanner to record vehicle details and keep the ticket register up to date.
- Monitor the lot for any damage or suspicious activity and report it to the supervisor.
- At the end of the shift, do a quick sweep, refill the ticket machine, and lock the gates.
We work in a sunny, open parking lot near the main market. The environment is outdoor, so you’ll need a good pair of shoes and a sun hat. We provide a simple ticket machine, a mobile phone for communication, and a small office space for paperwork.
Team culture: We are a close‑knit group of 8 people. Everyone knows each other’s names, and we celebrate small wins together – like a smooth shift or a happy customer. We have weekly huddles where we share ideas on how to improve service. The boss is approachable and always listens to suggestions.
Growth opportunities: Starting as a Parking Attendant, you can move to a Shift Supervisor role after 6 months of good performance. From there, you could become a Parking Manager or even help set up new parking sites in nearby villages. We also offer short training sessions on customer service and basic vehicle safety.
