We are Prithvi Agro Pvt. Ltd., a family‑run rice‑processing unit in Kangpokpi, Manipur. We are looking for a dedicated Health & Safety Executive to join our growing team in the heart of Imphal’s growing industrial hub.
What a Typical Day Looks Like
- Morning walk around the mill – checking that all guards on the husking machines are in place.
- Reviewing the day’s production log and noting any incidents or near‑misses.
- Meeting with the operations manager to discuss any new safety procedures needed for the upcoming harvest.
- Conducting a brief safety briefing with the crew before they start the shift.
- Completing the daily safety audit form and uploading the file to the cloud for the supervisory team.
- Visiting the field to observe how workers use protective gear while unloading rice bags.
Tools & Equipment You’ll Use
- Portable gas leak detector.
- Digital safety audit form on a rugged tablet.
- Standard communication kit (hand‑held radio, safety whistle).
- Basic safety kit: hard hat, steel‑toe boots, safety goggles.

From this starting position, you can progress to Senior Safety Officer or Safety Manager roles. We provide on‑the‑job training in advanced safety management and certification programs in partnership with the state’s Health & Safety Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor safety policies across all work areas – from the processor shed to the delivery trucks.
- Investigate incidents, produce reports, and recommend corrective actions – for example, after a forklift incident, you suggested installing a rear‑view camera.
- Coordinate emergency drills (fire, chemical spill, cyclone) and maintain up‑to‑date first‑aid kits.
- Maintain safety records, ensuring compliance with statutory health‑and‑safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the HR team to conduct safety training workshops for new hires.
We work in a moderate‑climate environment with a mix of office and field work. The office is 2 m²; the field inspection takes you across the rice paddies in our 10‑hectare farm. The schedule is standard 9 AM–5 PM, with on‑call shifts in case of emergencies.
