We are Kailashahar Supermarket, a family‑run retail store located in the heart of Kailashahar, Tripura. We have been serving the local community for over 15 years, offering fresh groceries, household items, and a friendly shopping experience. We are looking for a Retail Cashier to join our team and help keep our shop running smoothly.
Every day we open at 9:00 am and close at 9:00 pm. Your day will start with a quick team huddle where we discuss the day’s specials and any stock issues. You’ll then take over the cash register, greet customers, scan items, and handle payments. We use a simple POS system that is easy to learn, but we do expect you to be comfortable with numbers and quick on your feet.
Our team culture is very close‑knit. We treat each other like family, which means we help each other out when the shop gets busy. We celebrate birthdays, festivals, and even small wins like a perfect cash reconciliation. You’ll find that the work environment is relaxed but efficient – we value punctuality, honesty, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities (real examples):
- Handle cash, credit, and mobile payments accurately.

- Perform end‑of‑day cash reconciliation and report any discrepancies.
- Help restock shelves during slow periods.
Tools and equipment you’ll use include a POS terminal, barcode scanner, receipt printer, and a small cash drawer. We provide all the necessary training and a friendly mentor to guide you through the first few weeks.
Our shop is a bustling environment with a mix of local shoppers and tourists. The store is about 1,200 square feet, with a dedicated cashier area, a small back‑office for inventory, and a cozy seating corner for customers. The atmosphere is warm, with local music playing softly in the background.
We are looking for someone who is friendly, reliable, and has a good head for numbers. No prior experience is required – we will train you. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but we are open to candidates who are eager to learn. We offer a competitive salary of ₹12,000 to ₹18,000 per month, depending on experience. In addition, you will receive a monthly performance bonus and a 10% discount on all store items.
