We are HomeMove Express, a trusted name in local and errand moving services across Tripura. Our team is small but tight‑knit – everyone knows each other by their first name and we all share one common goal: to make every move smooth, safe and less stressful for our customers.
Every day starts early in our little office on Dihua Road. After a quick coffee and a short team huddle, we head to the first job of the day – usually a family moving from one residential block to another. The rhythm of the day is simple: call reception, retrieve load list, pack, load onto the dolly, transport, unload, set up, then tidy up. We do not have a warehouse; instead, our equipment is in a small, fenced workshop where we keep moving blankets, straps, ladders and a little 2‑tonne hydraulic jack.
Team culture is very family‑like. We have weekly “fun days†where we prepare local meals and share stories from our last few moves. Mistakes are learning moments, not punishments. We also have an informal mentorship program – senior helpers guide the newbies through tricky situations, like how to balance heavy furniture on uneven roads.
Opportunities for growth are clear. Anyone who spends a season helping with heavy lifts can move up to a Team Lead role. Over time, you could also become a Field Operative Manager, overseeing multiple small teams. We provide regular on‑the‑job training and a small stipend each month that increases by ₹2000 every year you stay with us and show good performance.
Responsibilities we ask from you include:
- Assist in packing and unpacking household items.
- Secure goods using straps and blankets.
- Operate the manual dolly and small hydraulic jack.
- Help clients set up furniture at the destination.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment during the move.
Real‑world example: On a recent job, a client’s mother had a fragile antique wooden box. I used a specially cut foam cut‑out and a padded strap to move it safely across a broken step. That small act saved the client a potential loss, and I learned to be more careful with fragile items.
We work mainly in a field setting – the client’s house. We bring our own load‑cushion and are ready to adapt to any layout or street block layout. That flexibility is part of what makes this job rewarding.
We are looking for candidates who are energetic, down‑to‑earth, and ready to learn. No prior experience is required – we provide training. A clean driving license is needed for our small vehicle, but we don’t expect you to drive.
