Farm Worker Job in Araria, Bihar
Araria Family Farm
Join Our Growing Farm Family
Have you spent your childhood in the fields, feeling the earth beneath your feet and knowing the rhythm of sowing and harvesting? We are a family‑run farm in Araria, a vibrant little town in Bihar, looking for hardworking, warm‑hearted individuals to become part of our daily life. This is not just a job; it’s a chance to be part of a community where every sunrise brings a new task and every sunset brings a shared meal.
What a typical day looks like:
- Morning preparations – checking irrigation pumps, setting up the tractor’s hoyi (seed drill) or a simple double‑shaped hoe for low‑technology tasks.
- Planting seedlings of wheat, maize or pulses depending on the season. We use hand‑seeders for smaller plots and a locally sourced power tiller for main acres.
- Day‑to‑day care – watering, weeding, and pest control using organic dardh (pesticides) made at the farm.
- Harvest – feel the feel of your hand touching ripening crops, loading them onto the back‑loaded truck or into the 20‑m³ silo for storage.
Our team is a mix of young hopefuls and seasoned helpers who guide the newcomers. The culture here is simple – respect for land, respect for each other, and a promise of a warm, hot meal after every work shift. We also celebrate festivals together, share harvest cakes, and even gather for a small group chi‑nm (?) to discuss the next season’s plan.
Growth Opportunities: We believe in personal growth. Those who show dedication get to learn how to operate advanced irrigation pumps, irrigation scheduling with simple mobile apps, and even participate in seed selection trials. The chance to take over a small plot for personal cultivation is a pathway for long‑term security.
Tools & Equipment Used: Hand tools (hoes, rakes), power tiller, tractor (V-8 engine), irrigation pumps, drip kits, and pure water storage drums. All safety gloves and helmets are issued; we enforce safety gear for every worker.
Why Work With Us: We provide a clean and inviting workspace in the field and at the office. The office is a modest 500 sq ft building where records are maintained and a local school girl occasionally helps with bookkeeping. The farm’s atmosphere blends the aroma of paddy, the rustle of bamboo deers on the borders and the laughter of the workers as they play simple games during breaks.
We pay between ₹12,000 and ₹20,000 per month, plus a seasonal end‑of‑harvest bonus. We also provide free lodging in our simple dormitory-like setup for workers coming from far away. Your honest labour will also earn you the respect and sincere friendship of a tight‑knit community.
If you love the outdoors, are ready to put your hands to work and want to grow with a family that values hard work and honesty, please apply. This role is open to all, regardless of education level – no formal schooling is required, just a willingness to learn.
Apply today and let’s make this harvest season unforgettable together!
