Building Maintenance Technician – Gurugram Industrial Estate Job in Gurugram, Haryana, India

Gurugram Facility Management Pvt. Ltd.

Job Title

We are looking for a reliable Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Gurugram Industrial Estate. This is a full‑time, on‑site role, ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, values teamwork, and wants to grow within a supportive local company.

About Our Company

Founded in 2015, we run a mid‑size facility management firm servicing several factories and offices across Haryana. Our team of 30 people works closely with clients to keep their buildings safe, efficient, and clean. Most of our job hours are shared between the main office, the workshop, and the maintenance sites. We pride ourselves on a friendly culture where everyone can speak up, share ideas, and smile over lunch together.

Day‑to‑Day Life

On a typical weekday, you will walk the corridors of our client sites, checking HVAC filters, inspecting water piping, and swapping light bulbs. You’ll start the day with a quick team huddle in the breakroom—where the coffee is always ready—before heading to the first site around 9 am. In the afternoon you’ll spend time in the workshop fixing minor leaks, calibrating security alarms or documenting maintenance logs in our cloud‑based system. The day ends with a brief debrief before you head home for the night. Your schedule will be a mix of on‑site visits and office duties, giving you a balanced routine.

Team Culture

We run on trust and transparency. Our office kitchen is the heart of the team; lunches are shared, ideas bounce, and friendships are built. Every month we host a ‘Skill Share’ session where a senior technician teaches a new gadget or shortcut to the crew. We hold quarterly socials at local dhabas and celebrate each other’s birthdays. If you enjoy a collaborative environment that also respects personal time, you’ll fit right in.

Opportunities for Growth

Starting as a maintenance assistant, you can progress to a senior technician role within two to three years. We provide access to professional courses such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) and HVAC Technician certification, often covered by the company. Senior team members supervise small crews, plan maintenance schedules, and interact directly with clients—opening doors for higher responsibility and higher pay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine repairs on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems around client buildings.
  • Inspect fire safety equipment, emergency exits, and compliance with local building codes.
  • Replace broken tiles, conduct moisture checks, and paint touch‑ups in hallways and stairwells.
  • Use basic tools (screwdrivers, drills, multimeters) and more advanced equipment such as a portable air‑quality meter and a hydraulic lift for ceiling access.
  • Keep accurate maintenance logs in our proprietary software (maintenace@company.com) and update work orders.
  • Coordinate with the office secretary to schedule preventive maintenance and communicate job status to clients.

Tools & Equipment

We provide you with a work kit that includes:

  • Standard fixed hand tools and socket set.
  • Portable power drill and impact driver.
  • Safety gear – gloves, goggles, reflective vest.
  • Access to the company’s spare parts bin.
  • Mobile phone for client communication.

Environment

The role is predominantly field‑based; you’ll spend most of your time at factory sites and office buildings. The job may require occasional night shifts during building inspections or repair outages. Air conditioning and heating are provided in the office, while outside tasks are conducted in typical office temperatures.

Qualifications

  • Preferably a high school diploma, but experience and a willingness to learn are more important.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems is an advantage.
  • Good communication skills in Hindi and English.
  • Physical stamina – the job involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 15 kg, and standing on small ladders.
  • Positive attitude and a genuine desire to help.

Salary and Benefits

Monthly salary ranges from ₹18,000 to ₹28,000, based on experience and skill level. In addition to the base pay, you will receive:

  • Daily lunch allowance – a simple meal from local vendors.
  • Annual vehicle insurance (if you provide a motorbike or scooter for work).
  • Health insurance for yourself, delayed medical reimbursement for non‑emergency care.
  • Annual leave of 12 days + public holidays.
