Work hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a 30‑minute lunch break, but overtime is fairly limited and rewarded with overtime pay.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee machining operations for our 50+ product lines, ensuring quality and on‑time delivery.
- Use CAD software (SolidWorks and AutoCAD) to design parts and update drawings on the fly.
- Run regular maintenance on CNC equipment – oil changes, calibration checks and basic troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to order raw material, keeping inventory tight to reduce waste.
- Mentor junior shop floor workers, giving them tips on measurement, safety and machine set‑up.
For example, one of our recent projects required redesigning a gear assembly so that it could fit into a new gearbox. You would have drafted the new design in CAD, run a quick simulation, and then produced a prototype on the CNC 3‑axis mill. Finally, you’d measure the part with a digital caliper, compare it against the tolerance sheet and report any deviations.
