Ltd. located in the picturesque town of Drass is looking for a friendly, reliable Store Security Guard to round the clock watch over our little store at the heart of Ladakh.
Every morning, the store door opens to a handful of local villagers and a few trekkers passing through the winter passes. Your first job after the opening ceremony is to greet customers, check the CCTV footage, and ensure the alarm system is armed. In the afternoons we get a small wave of tourists heading to nearby monasteries, and you’ll be expected to patrol the aisles, keeping an eye on the merchandise and ensuring no one jars the shelves. At night, when the shops go quiet, you will be the beacon of safety in the back storage area, checking the locks, verifying documentation, and maintaining the log book.
We’re a close‑knit team of approximately 12. The shop manager is the friendly neighbour, while the senior cashier is a retired army officer with plenty of stories. The culture here is more family than workplace: we share our lunch, celebrate festivals together, and sometimes have a humbly made kebab lunch after a long shift. There is no formal hierarchy; respect and honesty drive everything. It’s a great place for those who value sincere relationships over corporate buzzwords.
Growth is simple but real. Starting as a security guard, you can train to become a store manager in a year – we’ve done this a few times. Our company provides an in‑house training module covering inventory basics, cash handling, and customer service. On the field, you’ll get hands‑on experience with the store’s POS system, the CCTV monitoring setup, and the lock‑and‑alarm inventory. You’ll also get a chance to help organize seasonal sales and keep the inventory sheet updated.
Tools & Equipment: You will have a basic badge and a radio for communication, a hand‑held multitool for minor lock‑adjustments, and a 24‑hour CCTV monitor. The store also uses a local network of motion detectors and motion‑triggered LED signs to deter any unwarranted nocturnal activity. With a fresh phone every Friday the policy says, we keep you connected.
We’re located at 22/5 Gurush Gurden, Drass, Ladakh. The store sits on the pedestrian main artery, with a small parking area behind it near the border gate. You’ll be working from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on weekdays, with a rotating weekend schedule. We offer a fixed salary range of 12,000 – 18,000 INR per month, paid on 15th of each month. We also give a yearly performance bonus up to 10% of your salary if your reporting scores come out positive in the annual safety audit.
We’re looking for someone with a keen eye, honesty, and a polite demeanour. Experience is not mandatory – we’re happy to train the right people. If you’re a high school graduate, or no formal education but have the right attitude, you’ll fit right in. Just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to learn; we’ll get you up to speed.
