What a typical day looks like

  • Morning check‑in with the HR team – we start with a quick stand‑up to discuss the day’s priorities.
  • Reviewing employee benefit claims – from health insurance to leave balances, you’ll be the go‑to person for any questions.
  • Updating our internal portal – we use a simple cloud‑based system (Google Workspace + a custom spreadsheet) to keep everything up to date.
  • Co‑ordinating with our local insurance partners – a quick call or email to resolve any pending issues.
  • End‑of‑day wrap‑up – you’ll send a brief report to the HR manager summarising key metrics.

Starting as a Benefits Executive, you’ll learn the ins and outs of HR processes, data analysis, and vendor management. After 12 months, you could move into a Senior Benefits Coordinator role, or even help design new wellness programs for our clients. We also offer training in HRIS tools and basic project management.

Responsibilities explained with real examples

  • Claims processing: When an employee submits a claim for a medical visit, you’ll verify the details, check the policy limits, and approve or flag it for review.
  • Benefit communication: You’ll draft a monthly newsletter that explains new benefits or changes to existing ones, using plain language so everyone understands.
  • Data accuracy: You’ll run a weekly audit of the benefits database, spotting any duplicate entries or missing information.
  • Vendor liaison: If a local health club offers a discount, you’ll negotiate the terms and update the employee portal.

Tools and equipment

We use a mix of simple tools: Google Workspace for email and docs, a custom spreadsheet for tracking claims, and a basic HRIS for employee records. Your desk will have a laptop, a headset for calls, and a small whiteboard for quick notes.
