What a Day Looks Like
Your shift usually starts at 8:30 a.m. after a quick team huddle. We load freshly collected mail from the post office vans into a sorting machine. Once the machine does its first rapid sweep, you check the labeled folders for any discrepancies—like a missing PIN code or a damaged envelope. If a piece doesn’t fit the machine, you sort it by hand and place it in the correct bin. Every morning, you’ll also brief the new courier team on the route schedule and any special deliveries for that day. The environment is a mix of a small office with shelves of mail, a manual sorting area, and sometimes the field when we help our couriers unload at local kiosks.
Tools & Equipment
We use a basic sorting chute, a barcode scanner for priority mail, and a forklift for large packages. Training is provided on how to use these tools safely. If you’re not tech‑savvy, no worries – we teach at a beginner level and you’ll build confidence in no time.

Responsibilities in Detail
1. Sort incoming mail and parcels by PIN code and destination.
2. Inspect envelopes and packages for damage before sorting.

5. Keep the sorting area tidy, report any machine mis‑function to the supervisor.
