Collections Executive - Dharmadwip, West Bengal Job in Dharmadwip, West Bengal, India
Panchadara Credit & Service Society
Hey there! If you are someone who loves numbers, has a good chatting touch and wants a steady paycheck in a friendly, community‑centric pocket of West Bengal, keep reading. We are a local credit union called “Panchadara Credit & Service Society” based in Dharmadwip, a sweet little town known for its mustard fields and vibrant market buzz. Our first‑time hiring for the role of Collections Executive is looking for anyone who can bring a warm spirit and an eagerness to learn to our small but diligent team.
What Our Day Looks Like
We are a tight‑knit crew of 15 where every morning is spent in a shared office space that’s just an arm‑length walk from the busy Bhasha bazar. The day starts with a quick huddle over tea at 9 am, followed by reviewing the previous day’s receipts and draft a plan for the day’s walk‑throughs with customers. We work from 9 am to 5 pm, but the real magic happens on the field – calling, visiting, and building trust with our borrowers over the next 10 to 12 hours. On weekends we prepare reports, do a little inventory check of our paperwork and tools, then unwind with a cup of masala chai by the corner‑shop.
Team Culture
We really value a “family‑like” vibe. Everyone knows each other’s cricket scores, kitchen recipes, or how long they’ve lived in Dharmadwip. We celebrate monthly birthdays, the quarterly “Repayment Champions” award, and even a small potluck on Sundays. If you’re friendly, punctual and enjoy laughing with your colleagues, you’ll fit right in. Our culture is simple – treat people with respect, work hard, and always keep that smile.
Growth Opportunities
Even though we’re a local credit union, the path is clear. After 6 months of successful cash collection (80 % on‑time), you can move to a Senior Collections Supervisor role, overseeing a small team. Great performance can also lead to a transition to the Branch Manager role – a full‑time position with a larger customer portfolio and a bonus component. Continuously using our CRM app, learning a few Excel tricks, and participating in the quarterly skills workshops open doors for you. Whenever we need a new service hub in a nearby town, we give plenty of internal chances.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up on overdue accounts via phone calls, SMS, or in‑person visits. For instance, you might call Mr. Babu who missed the payment for month‑seven of his 12‑month loan.
- Record every interaction in our simple online portal and flag high‑risk accounts for review.
- Educate borrowers on repayment schedules, late‑fee rules and how timely payment keeps their credit health happy.
- Visit households outside Dharmadwip (to villages like Bhaitkura) using our provided basic scooter and a GPS navigation app on your phone.
- Coordinate with the accounting team to reconcile daily cash receipts and prepare a weekly summary sheet.
Tools & Equipment
We equip you with a mobile phone (laptop not required), a reusable clip‑board, a nominal collection letter template, and a company‑issued scooter (basic Yamaha, 2‑speed). Most of the daily data entry happens through a lightly‑loaded Android app that syncs with our Central Server. We also provide a pocket wallet for stamp paper, small stationery and a verified photo ID for face‑to‑face verification.
Environment
The role is a mix of office work and field outreach. Our office is a shared open‑plan room with no windows, a kind of reminiscent library vibe that keeps everyone focused. From there you head out to the market lanes, fields and small villages. The field days are typical of small towns – you see a blend of new‐generation youths on scooters and seasoned farmers on bicycles, all in rice‑straw colorwear. The office has a humble cafeteria with vegetable thali, local sweets and tea waiting for a quick break after a long field hour.
Why Join Us?
We give a competitive monthly pay of ₹18,000–₹25,000, a small but guaranteed overtime for extra visits, a wellness corner that tucks the team in with food rolls and a bonus tied to repayment targets. The working environment is relaxed, the teamwork is real, and the growth curve is foreseeable. And if you ever can’t finish a day, we ensure a complete mental health break – we keep the laugh track alive, because we believe a happy team never loses a customer.
Application Process
Drop your resume and a brief email intro at hr@panchadara.com by the 25th of this month. We’ll conduct a friendly chat with the team and a quick skills test on the digital app. We’re looking to fill the post by July 15th and we can’t wait to meet you!
