Our catering team at Sweet Savouries is expanding, and we’re looking for a warm‑hearted Catering Assistant to join us in the heart of Mohali. Don’t worry if you’ve never worked in catering before – we’ll get you up to speed.
On a typical day, you’ll start early, setting up the kitchen station with fresh ingredients, checking that our equipment – range, ovens, mixers, and sawtooth trays – is clean and ready. A lot of the work involves prepping salads, marinating meats, and chopping veggies for client specials. We make a point to keep things neat, and we’ll hand you a little “check‑list†template to help you stay on track – teamwork is our secret sauce.
It’s a close‑knit crew. We rotate shifts to accommodate our clients, meaning early mornings, late dinners, and sometimes weekend banquets. Laughter is a big part of our culture – we have potluck lunches, quick “cook‑off†contests, and celebrate birthdays with homemade cakes. Your voice matters; we meet weekly to discuss new menu ideas and better ways to serve our guests.
Responsibility-wise, you’ll be trusted to:
- prepare ingredients as per the menu plan, ensuring quality and safety
- assist in setting up service areas for events (tables, crockery, floral arrangements)
- handle guest requests with a friendly smile, and ask for feedback to improve the experience
- maintain inventory – recording stock, notifying the manager when items run low
- hygiene duties – washing dishes, sanitising surfaces, and keeping the kitchen tidy
We offer competitive monthly pay – ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 – plus a performance review after six months. We value growth: many team members move from Assistant to Head Chef or Event Coordinator. We provide small training modules and encourage you to attend local culinary workshops or food safety courses at no extra cost.
