Are you a friendly, energetic individual who loves keeping things clean and organized? We’re looking for a Bowling Alley Attendant to join our team in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. Our bowling alley opens every day from 10 AM to midnight. The basic rhythm of the day is simple:
- Morning shift: arrive by 8:30 AM, do a quick sweep of the lane area, check that the bowling balls and shoes are clean, and set up the scoreboards.
- Mid‑day: serve customers at the bar, refill snacks, do a quick check of the handicap machines.
- Evening: welcome families, maintain the lanes, and help with any special events or birthday parties.
We have a small, tight‑knit team of five people. We eat lunch together, chat about cricket, share jokes, and help each other out, especially during the busy weekend nights. Everyone is encouraged to share ideas on how to improve services – for example, one of our attendants started a “ball‑return†system that cuts the queue time by 30 seconds! This kind of initiative gets noticed, and we even reward useful suggestions with small bonuses.
Growth opportunities are real. After a year of reliably providing excellent service, you can become a Team Lead, learning how to schedule shifts, manage our small POS (point‑of‑sale) system, and monitor stock for the snack bar. Responsibilities include:
- Maintain cleanliness of bowling lanes, shoes, ball return and scoring machines.
- Operate the POS and handle cash register accurately.
- Assist customers with ball selection, shoe sizing, and handicap voting.
- Check and reorder stock for snacks, drinks, and small souvenirs.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed – lubricate the lane machines and report any malfunctions.
We provide all the necessary tools: a set of perfect‑fit bowling shoes for staff use, a handheld scanner to inspect the ball return, a standard laptop to run our scoring software, and a branded apron for a professional look. If you’re using a smartphone to keep track of shift times, that’s fine too.
Our alley is located in a family‑friendly part of Haldwani, with a drive‑through entrance and a small parking area. The shop area is spacious, with a 360‑degree view of the lanes, a cheerful waiting area with a TV showing current cricket matches, and a packed snack bar.
