What a day looks like: You’ll start your shift at 8 am, greet the team, and head to the first client’s house. We work in a mix of residential homes and small offices, so you’ll get a chance to see a variety of spaces. Each day you’ll follow a simple cleaning routine – dusting, sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces – but we also love to add a personal touch. For example, if a client has a pet, we’ll make sure the fur is removed from the sofa and the litter box is cleaned thoroughly.
Team culture: We’re a small crew of 12 people, most of whom have been with us for 3–5 years. We meet every Friday for a quick coffee and a chat about the week. Responsibilities (real examples):
- Clean living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms in client homes.
- Empty trash bins, replace liners, and ensure the kitchen is free of crumbs.
- Wipe down kitchen appliances, polish mirrors, and vacuum under furniture.
- Handle special requests such as deep‑cleaning carpets or sanitizing bathrooms after a guest stays.
- Report any maintenance issues (e.g., a leaking tap) to the office manager.
Tools & equipment: We provide all the cleaning supplies – microfiber cloths, eco‑friendly detergents, a vacuum cleaner, a mop, and a bucket. You’ll also get a small toolkit for minor repairs, like tightening a loose cabinet handle.
Environment: Work is mostly field‑based, so you’ll be moving from one client’s house to another. The job requires a moderate level of physical activity – standing, bending, and lifting light items. We provide a comfortable work bag and a reusable water bottle.
