What a typical day looks like
- Start the shift by setting up the dining area – arranging tables, polishing silverware, and checking the menu board.
- Greet guests with a smile, take orders, and recommend specials.
- Serve food and drinks, ensuring every plate looks presentable.
- Keep the dining space clean, refill water glasses, and clear tables after guests leave.
- End the shift by counting the till, preparing the next day’s seating plan, and handing over any notes to the manager.
We use simple tools – a handheld POS system, a small kitchen cart, and a set of reusable napkins. No fancy tech, just good old teamwork.
