We are Sundar Events Pvt. Ltd., a local event management company based in Balangir. We organise weddings, corporate functions, and community festivals. We are looking for an enthusiastic Event Helper to join our team. If you love working with people, have a positive attitude, and want to learn the ropes of event planning, this job is for you.
What a typical day looks like
- Arrive at the venue 2 hours before the event starts.
- Help set up tables, chairs, decorations and audio‑visual equipment.
- Assist the lead coordinator with guest seating and signage.
- Keep the venue clean and tidy during the event.
- Help with post‑event breakdown and packing.

Opportunities for growth
We believe in learning on the job. After a few months you can move into a Junior Coordinator role, where you will plan the schedule, manage vendors and handle budgets. We also offer occasional workshops on event technology and customer service.
Responsibilities explained with real examples
• Set‑up – For a wedding, you will help arrange floral arrangements on the altar, set up the dance floor and test the sound system. For a corporate seminar, you will set up a projector, arrange seating and ensure the Wi‑Fi is working.
• Guest assistance – Greet guests, hand out name tags, guide them to their seats and answer simple questions.
• Problem solving – If a table falls or a speaker stops working, you will quickly notify the team and help fix it.
Tools and equipment
We provide all the necessary tools: folding chairs, tables, a portable speaker system, a laptop for the event schedule, and a small toolbox for quick fixes. You will also use a mobile phone to coordinate with vendors.
Work environment
Most of your work will be outdoors or in event halls. You will spend time in the office for planning, but the majority of the day is on the field. The weather can be hot, so we provide water bottles and a shaded break area.
We pay a competitive salary of ₹12,000–₹18,000 per month, depending on experience. We also offer a small performance bonus and a chance to earn overtime during big events.
